Aspen & Oak, AKA A & O

September 22, 2018:
Hi Mom, I am doing fine. Aunt Brenda is even letting me into her living room. Well only when she is with me. She says I get into too much trouble on my own. I love you. I hope you are well.
  Oak

July 20, 2018:
Aunt Brenda told me to tell you it’s a false alarm. I don't have the green slime! I just decided not to digest my dinner the other day. Sorry if we worried you.
I love you,
  O

Oh good! I wasn’t worried as the description didn’t quite fit slimy Poo. Glad you’re alright O! See you in a couple of days!

July 13, 2018:
Hey Brenda! Hey O!
Just wanted to see how things are going. No news is good news to me but just wanted to say Hi and I miss you O! Love you too!!
Thank you Brenda,
  Heather

O's Response: Hi Mom, yup all is cool. Aunt Brenda is even letting me in her space while she is there. I'm being really good. She thought about leaving me sleep in the bed when she got up to go down stairs but then thought better of it. VBG
I love and miss you. O

June 23, 2018:
Hello Brenda,
Oak seems a little better, she loves her dropper of soup and meds. She eats most of the soup on her own, sometimes. She’s slowed down a lot and will play occasionally but I can tell her tummy hurts and she doesn't feel like herself. Yes it seems I have lucked out again. It looks like the hair on her tail has come back a bit but of course I’m still worried. no implant, I’m wondering if it’s growing back because she’s not as itchy but what once was practically bald now has some hair. Hope all is well with you,

Shelter Response: Good - is she eating any more soup on her own or are you dropper feeding her all you make for her? Yes - we all do as we get older. She's stayed pretty healthy for a very long time.

June 16, 2018:
Oh O
I’m sure you were very very mad. I’m also glad Aunt Brenda can do what needs to be done to get you tested. We’ll get you feeling as good as possible and take good care of you! Thank you for listening and taking your meds!
I’ll see you both very soon.
  All my love!

June 16, 2018:
Hi Mom,
Aunt Brenda says I was a good girl this morning. I took my dropper with soup and meds without fighting her! I'm being good at camp. I love you,
  O

June 15, 2018:
Hi Mom, Aunt Brenda did an Ouchy on me this afternoon. She woke me up when she got home from work, she took the clippers and cut my nail short. I was bleeding! Boy was I mad! I tried to bite Aunt Brenda I didn't get her, she's faster than me.
Anyway she used the meter on my blood, Aunt Brenda says I have Insulinoma. My numbers were 57. Aunt Brenda says I need soup with meds 2 times a day from now on. She did not push the meds tonight because I was so mad I wouldn't eat the soup. She says she will dropper feed me meds with soup in the morning. She says I should be over my madness by then.
I hope you are having fun, I was until Aunt Brenda cut my nail. I love you.
  O

December 15, 2017:
Hi Brenda,
Oak is giving me the stink eye. Squinting at me from her left. The right looks bright eyed, the left is pretty closed but doesn’t look too swollen.
Should I just keep an eye on it? Well pun intended I suppose. She might’ve got into something but she’s acting quite normal so I didn’t call in a panic like I sometimes do.
Hope you’ve been well
  Thanks

October 7, 2017:
Aspen left for the Rainbow Bridge.

You were so right about her being completely different. She ran around, kinda waited by the carrier and dug in Aspens blanket by the door but went on playing.
She followed me all around the house, if I was in a room so was she even if she was doing something else. We ate dinner together and I woke up with her in my bed curled up in the busy blanket.
She'll definitely get a lot more attention, just wanted to let you know she's, well, we're adjust well.
Thank you again for your talk and support. And the coffee!! That helped me get home for sure.

June 3, 2017:
Hey Mom look what learned how to do! Aunt Brenda was serving up soup and meds one morning, she lets me run the rooms with no barriers until she is done. She was getting A's mush ready when she looked up to see me.. in trouble again! She quick grabbled the camera to capture a picture of me for you, before she took me out of the refrigerator and putting the things back I pushed out.
We love you
  A and O

May 21, 2017:
I let A and O have the kitchen end of the dining room this morning. What a mistake, O was her usual self and got into all kinds of trouble.

Mom's Response: Oh boy! Look at that Oak! I'll let you know when I can pick up the girls sorry it's been a while since I've wrote. Hope you're well!

May 4, 2017:
Hey Mom, Are you doing okay? We are doing great, we are having fun at camp. We hope you are well.
  A and O

Mom's Response: Hello my O and A, I'm doing ok. I know you're in your best behavior at Aunt Brenda's! I love you both hope you're feel good A! Thank you for checking in!

Aspen and Oak's Response: We are! Aunt Brenda is keeping me in soup with meds and mush - I do love my mush - I get that 2 times a day just like my soup. I am a happy camper and loving life just as much as O. Thanks for getting back to us, Aunt Brenda was getting worried you were not getting our emails. We love you

March 15, 2017:
Hi Mom, Aunt Brenda got some pictures of us helpen her clean cages this morning. Take a look.
We love you!
  A and O

March 10, 2017:
Hi Mom,
We are having fun at camp. Aunt Brenda lets us out first, so we can run the 3 rooms she opens up while doing meds and cleaning cages. I follow her around until she puts me up in the pan to have my soup. O climbs everything she can, jumps into the tub to push the empty water jugs around, or climbs into the trash to jump onto the island Aunt Brenda is working at.
I am eating lots and lots of soup, Aunt Brenda keeps adding more to my dish until I clean off my chin, then she makes me mush and then takes us both to the room we are safe in with my mush.
We hope you are well and happy
We love you A and O

September 23, 2016:
Hey Mom we are having a great time at camp.. take a look. Aunt Brenda let us have the kitchen yesterday for 1/2 hour. See what O did in that 1/2 hour...she got behind the gate to Aunt Brenda's Bathroom! She got a picture of O getting into trouble and me in my bed before I got up for the day.
We love you
  A and O

July 17, 2016:
Hey Mom, what's going on? I am being good "O" not so much, she climbed up on the counter and got into the box with me to try to get my soup this morning. Aunt Brenda got her down before she could push me out of the way.
We are doing well, we are happy and healthy - we hope you are well - we miss you
We love you
  A and O

July 10, 2016:
So Mom we have been here long enough to feel comfortable getting into trouble! Aunt Brenda found "O" on the kitchen island counter. She had gotten out from the dining room. Aunt Brenda also found we had disconnected our water dish in our cage there was water everywhere and all out bedding that was not up was soaked. It took some time for Aunt Brenda to clean up that mess. We are having so much fun at camp Mom thanks for leaving us here longer.
Oh yeah Aunt Brenda picked up my meds I am all set now! Thanks for getting that called in for me.
  We love you
  A and O

July 6, 2016:
Hi babies,
I know you're having fun at camp. I will have to pick you up the 20th. I hope that's ok. Doc needs to renew A's perscription should I call it in, where should it be picked up? I'll add it to the next check I bring. It took me a long time to decide because the house is so lonely without you both.
All my love Aspen and Oak!
  Mom

Aspen and Oak's Response: That is fine, Aunt Brenda let us come up in her space with her this morning, she tried to take a nap and we would not let her. We were crawling all over her head and under the blankets. She gave it up about 30 minutes into her nap. We love to harass her. So we are good staying until the 20th. Have them call it into Naples Apothecary! Aunt Brenda can pick it up, you will have the scrip filled, just tell OFD that we are at camp. When we need more you can have OFD call it into our pharmacy when we are home.
We miss you but we are having fun. "O" got on Aunt Brenda's desk this morning, she put her down like 3 times before she stopped trying to get up there.
We love you too...A and O

July 5, 2016:
Hey Mom, so what's the skinny? Aunt Brenda said we may stay until the 20th of July. I am going to need more meds if I stay. I have been being good about taking my soup with meds and then Aunt Brenda gives me my mush.
I have even been staying in the rooms Aunt Brenda puts us in. we get up at 3 am with her and go back to bed at noon. We get lots and lots of out of the cage time.
We hope you are well, please let us know when you are going to get us.
  A and O

July 4, 2016:
That is so great to hear, I was so glad to see you both so happy when I dropped you off! A has been itching to get into trouble since she can't get up and down my stairs on her own. I'm working to fix this with some ferret stairs or a tunnel. I love you both so much! And miss you already!
I was thinking it might be less stress on the girls if I just picked them up the 20th? That's so much back and forth. What do you think Aunt Brenda?
Happy Fourth of July! I hope you and all the furrows have a great day!

July 3, 2016:
Hi Mom, we hope you are having fun. We are having a blast! It took "A" less than 1 hr to get out of the library to make Aunt Brenda look for her all over the place after you dropped us off on Friday. She found A in the kitchen.
This morning Aunt Brenda let us hang with her in the 3 open rooms while she did meds. It took me less than 5 min to get up on the counter where Aunt Brenda was giving A her meds.
We sure hope you are having as much fun as we are. We love you
  A and O

April 3, 2016:
Oak hanging in Mum's space that thinks it's okay to be up on her desk. Oak has a sissy that behaves she stays on the floor. Oak - AKA - O and Aspen - AKA - A are campers. They are due to go home tomorrow.

March 9, 2016:
Hello Brenda and my little loves!
Hope all is well! I've got two more cruises to go then I'm home for you! It looks like I will be able to pick you up on the 4th of April! So excited.
Brenda- I just saw your post for the auction, I'd love to donate some glass again
Thank you for keeping in Touch
  Heather/Mom

Hey Mom!!! We are excited too.. we love and miss you. - A and O

We would be honored to have some glass from you for the auction...Little A was running up and down the tube on the stairs this morning like a kid.. she is so funny, O was bouncing off the wall and tackling A when she was at the treat dish.

February 28, 2016:
Hello my sweets!
It's been so long since I could get onto my email. I love to hear about you even though you're causing trouble (as usual). I wish you would get along with other fuzzbutts O! Such a bully uhg!
I think about you everyday and still block the door to keep you from escaping from my cabin. Can't wait to come home to you. Only one month left!
Aspen you're such a dork. I LOVE it you still find the silliest places to sleep. So glad you are yourself. Thank you for the updates Aunt Brenda
  Mom, Heather

February 22, 2016:
Hi Mom - we are well and happy.. O has been keeping Aunt Brenda super busy. Aunt Brenda has been trying to give us some of her space time, but O keeps getting into the trash in the kitchen so she can jump into the bathroom. The first time she did it Aunt Brenda went crazy trying to find her.. Until the fur kid that was in that room started screaming.
Aunt Brenda pulls the trash away from the barrier but yesterday she forgot to so O got right up there and jumped into the bathroom again.
I am doing much better now that I am done with my medicine - but I have been squeezing through the barrier in the room Aunt Brenda puts us in (because O misbehaves) - Aunt Brenda put coroplast on the barrier but I am still squeezing through, so she said she is going to have to put more on the barrier.
We hope you are well and happy...we know you would rather be with us, we miss you but know you miss us too...
When you can drop us a line. We love you
  A and O

February 4, 2016:
Hey Mom...Aunt Brenda says I only have 2 more days of bubble gum medicine... I have been dancing and dooking feeling much much better.. I was even running up and down the stairs yesterday. Aunt Brenda is giving us her space to hang out in while she does kitchen duties.
We are well and happy.. we love and miss you!

Mom's Response:
That's such great new little one! Running up and down the stairs?! I'm so happy. Make sure you thank Aunt Brenda!
Love you both only two months left!

January 29, 2016:
The girls are doing well, A is driving me nuts she keeps crawling through the pen barriers so I need to fix that. LOL I have attached a picture of O's antics...they are both giving me a run for my money. Now for the important stuff
A was acting off I watched her close and she was tipping her head when she tried to have her soup (dropper) it seems she may be dealing with Vestibular Disease, I started her on Moxy yesterday and she is already showing improvement this morning. I will do the Moxy for 10 days, depending on how that goes I will get her up to Doc. It looks like she is responding well to the Moxy.
  I hope you are well.

Mom's Response:
Hi Brenda,
How severe is this? Is it something she can make it through? Is she too uncomfortable? What are the treatments?
This contract has had a real rough start. I cannot wait to be home. Please let me know what Doc says sorry it's been hard to keep in touch, I've been pretty down about leaving them. Thank you for the pictures. Can I have some of Aspen?
Thank you for all you do.
Tell them I love them so much. I think of them especially Aspen, I guess you'd call it praying but I do it for her health as its all I can do at this point.

Shelter Response: It is something that hits all ferrets from time to time. It is a real deep inner ear infection that responds well to antibiotic.
Oh yeah this is not a big deal, I just wanted you to know what was going on. She acted a bit yesterday but since I have started her on Moxy she was getting into trouble this morning being herself. Oh no what is going on?
It does not look like we are going to need him. She has 8 more days of Moxy 2 times a day. I understand. I will make that happen. Thanks for trusting me with them. I will do that.
I keep you in my God Box for safe keeping - so yes it is praying for her. - again she is responding well to treatment so right now life is good.

Hi Mom, Aunt Brenda took my picture while I was having my soup tonight. She gives me my meds in a dropper with soup, then a dish of soup and then my mush goes into our cage so O can share it with me. I am doing okay, Aunt Brenda is giving me bubble gum medicine 2 times a day . she said I look better, I feel okay.
Aunt Brenda got pictures of both of us playing in the kitchen yesterday.
We love and miss you Mom.
  A and O

January 15, 2016:
Hi Mom, are you having fun? We are, Aunt Brenda put a food sack in our cage because we were digging our food out of our dishes. We will let you know what we think about that in a couple of days. My eye was looking funky (Aunt Brenda's words) so she put some warm compress on it, it looks better today. She is going to keep doing that and things maybe the sty will go away. She picked up our meds Wed we are good to go.
We love you
  A and O

January 10, 2016:
Hi Mom, we are having a blast at Camp. O has even been behaving do you believe that? We love you.. Don't worry too much about us.
We love you
  A and O

September 4, 2015:
  Oak being Oak.

September 16, 2015:
AM Update: A has eaten fully the past few meals of duck soup and seems well. O is as silly as ever. They both have good appetites. It's nice to hear their dook dooks. My boss is currently out of town so I'm not quite sure on the drop off date. It will be either the 2nd or 3rd of October.
Thank you!

PM Update:
Hello Brenda,
A is doing well. I have a food mix that is very similar to you mix. I had Docs office fill a perscription which I will pick up tomorrow. I plan to take them in soon for Oak's annual and Aspens biannual check ups. Hopefully before I drop them off in Oct.
have a great evening!
  Heather

September 14, 2015:
I found a message from Heather she was on her way to Naples to pick up her girls. She just left with them. They will be back in October for a weekend then they won't be back until January 2016.

August 16, 2015:
Hey Mom, Aunt Brenda found me - A - stuck between the bars of my cage half in and half out the cage door. Aunt Brenda wanted to get a picture of me but was too afraid to walk away to get the camera.
After she got me pushed back into the cage - I helped her achieve that - she went back to doing shelter duties and making us soup. When I got put back in the cage for bed time Aunt Brenda had cage door bars covered with coroplast so I can't do that again. Aunt Brenda has no sense of humor.
Aunt Brenda says I am learning far too much from O these days, the meds I am on make me feel better enough to want to find some trouble to get into.
We hope you are okay and having fun, we love and miss you!

August 14, 2015:
I could not figure out how the kids were getting on top of the cage out on the porch. I thought I had it fixed so that could not happen. A and O were out there early this morning, O was on top of the cage. When I asked her how she managed to get there she nonchalantly walked over to the drainage pipe stepped up on it and walked on top of the pipe to get to me at the door. They are all keeping me hopping!

July 24, 2015:
A is taking her meds willingly now with the soup dropper.

July 23, 2015:
Hi, my name is Aspen, Aunt Brenda calls me A -and my Sissy O - our Mom is working far away so we are hanging out at camp with Aunt Brenda. I go to places that Aunt Brenda makes safe for us to hang out in, O on the other hand gets into places that are ferret free zones, so Aunt Brenda is constantly chasing after her to keep her out of trouble.
We are having a grand time at summer camp we hope you are having a great summer too.

July 22, 2015:
A is eating again, that is a +. A is back to being a wild child.. she is not happy to have to take Pred but until she will eat all her mush in one sitting I can't put meds in. she will not take it in a dropper of soup so she gets a squirt of straight Pred.

July 12, 2015:
Dear Mom, we are doing well. Aunt Brenda lets us run and jump and dance with her while she does meds. She introduced us to Razzle and Dazzle. O is a search and destroy she jumped on Razzle and beat him up good. Them Dazzle jumped on me and beat on me. Aunt Brenda had to dunk Dazzle in the water dish while holding onto me to get her to let me go. We don't want them to come live with us.
We love you A and O

July 6, 2015:
Hello Oak and Aspen,
Getting a little home sick and missing you're cute fuzzy faces. Even though I did my laundry before I left my coworker said my room smelt of ferrets. Wish I could smell it. (He is also probably full of you know what...Shit.) haha you're both adults now. But I miss you and that lovely smell. Think of you always I even brought a stuffed animal that is a ferret. But it's not the same. Has Aunt Brenda introduced you or kept you near Razzle and Dazzle??
I love you both with my whole heart and miss you tons!

Also to Aunt Brenda,
I will have wifi tomorrow and will send you some money for the babies. I have also received a second contract. It was originally for Five and a half Months!! I said hell no so he shortened it from Jan. 10 to April 3rd of 2016. It's nice that I have a little say in the matter I suppose. Then I will be home all summer until the next winter.
Please let me tell A and O.
Is everyone healthy?? Is everyone happy??
Thank you,
Hope all is well with you.
  Heather

Hey Mom!
We miss you too but we are staying busy keeping Aunt Brenda busy, well O is not me so much. Aunt Brenda says your coworker is full of it for sure! We understand, Aunt Brenda lifts us up to her nose and takes a deep breath and says AHHHHH. You should have brought one of our used blankies to keep our smell with you. A stuffy is not the same as us for sure.
No Aunt Brenda has not introduced us, but now that you have asked she will do that… she was not sure you were serious about taking them home with us. I (O) like to beat anybody I can up.. I beat on Dancer one day, I got in his cage when Aunt Brenda opened the door to give him his soup, she did not see me do that.
We love you too! Miss you but keeping busy climbing on things O is not suppose to be.. Aunt Brenda put us in the bathroom and O knocked over the food jug and spilled 4# of food all over the floor then played in the water so Aunt Brenda had to throw it away, she was pretty upset with O over that stunt.. Aunt Brenda is over it now. We just don't get to play in that room anymore.
We love you A and O

Shelter Mums response: Cool thanks for the heads up. Yeah I suppose, your boss could have told you do it or else.. the girls are on the calendar for that future contract.
Being home all summer will be awesome.
I gave the girls a hug and kiss for you. Yes the girls are healthy and happy, although you can see A is slowing down considerably, I want your permission to test her BG, she is not waking easily for me that indicates her numbers are low...
They are happy, looking for all kinds of things to get into and keep me busy. My last day of work was on the 23rd I woke on the 24th sick, finally felt human again on the 30th. I am back to work today...now that I am feeling better I will see about getting some pictures of the girls for you.

June 22, 2015:
Camp day 2:
Hey Mom, we are up...have been since 3 Aunt Brenda's schedule is insane! We got to use the porch first, then Aunt Brenda put us in the room we were in when you left...the papers were all neat and tidy so we helped Aunt Brenda; we fixed them so the room looks lived in. Are you proud of us?
We are having a grand time at camp...we love you,
  A and O

June 20, 2015:
Hello Brenda,
I hope all is well. I miss read my calendar is it okay to drop my babies off tomorrow? I thought it was the 22nd but Sunday is the 21st :( I work right up until I leave and this way I can drop them off not on a school day.
Thanks you
  Heather

June 10, 2015:
Hello Brenda,
I hope you are well. The family will be visiting soon!! I had a quick question on what you would do in a situation.
Usually I'm good about shuffling my feet and avoiding ferrets but this morning in a silly rush for work I step on Oak's back paw. She was hiding in my work pants. (Mom you can't leave if I'm in your work clothes hahahah!!)
Usually I'm quick to react but since there was jeans in the way, I'm not sure how hard I stepped. She backed up quick from me dooking. Then held her paw close. I'm not sure there is much I can do though. I've held her now 8 hours later to feel the foot but she still pulls away. I don't squeeze the foot. I don't think I broke anything and writing this now I feel like I am overreacting (likely because of having to leave her soon). But I've never squished a ferrets tender toes quite like this. Would you just give her a couple days? Is there anything I could do for her?
Thank you!
  Heather

April 18, 2015:
Steph got to meet A and O. O gave Stephanie a run for her money. She is a little buzz saw with 4 feet and fur.

Initial Contact, July 31, 2014, Heather:
Dear Ferret Farm Shelter Momma,
I currently work for Corning Museum of Glass and was just offered a contract that will require me to be gone for three months. Under no circumstance would I ever give up my babies. I worry that if I leave them with a friend or family member they won't get enough attention or I'll never see them again. Is there anyway you could help? Even information would be much appreciated! I'm in a real bind. I've had ferrets for almost ten years and I hate hate hate to leave them but my career requires it. Aspen is 5 and Oak just turned 1. I don't know what to do.
Thank you for your time,
 Heather

Shelter response:
We do long term boarding (camp). Take a look and let us know what we can do.

Heather's response, August 02, 2014:
Hi Brenda!
Thank you for the info. I was looking all over your website for this don't know how I missed it!
 Just a couple questions.
Can they stay together? I have a cage for them. What is the cost? I will gladly help when I can even if they aren't there and I am home. I'm interested in volunteering.
Is there a contract in case of illness or loss? I'm trusting my babies will be safe with 50 other ferrets. I need to know I'll come home to them.
I have care credit for them but are your protocols for health issues/emergencies.
Can I come visit before with them? I saw your open on the weekends 1-4pm?
I apologize if all this info is on the website I'm having a hard time navigating it.
Thank you again!!

Shelter response:
Hey Heather, please let me apologize for making that difficult. We call it camp because we are a not for profit organization and boarding is frowned upon by the IRS. So kids come to ferret camp.
Absolutely we do not ever separate bonded pairs or groups under any circumstances. No need to bring a cage we have boarding cages all set and ready to go.
Again because we are not for profit we are not allowed to charge but a donation is what we request.
We would be honored to have you become a volunteer.
Absolutely I have attached the form we use for securing a place at camp.
They will not be introduced to any of the other ferrets here, that is far too stressful on them and if they should bond with another ferret you would inherit said ferret when you came home. Most folks are not inclined to take on another ferret after returning from vacation. So they will be allowed in all the play areas, up to and including my space but it will be with just your two in that room. They will get the same rotation schedule the shelter ferrets get, only campers always get up first every single day, they are moved from room to room just like the shelter kids are.
We ask that you bring something that belongs to you (unwashed) that they can sleep in.
I have no idea what care credit is or how it works.
Oh my gosh YES! We will work with whatever schedule you have; the weekends 1-4 are for drop in unannounced kinds of visits. I drive school bus for a living so I am in and out - I am doing a summer run for another 2 weeks then I have 2 weeks off. Before we go back in September. So scheduling is pretty flexible on my end. We just need to set up day and time and you will be welcome.
Nope I just got off the phone with our web master we are going to address all of your questions and concerns on our site. Neither of us ever gave it much thought because most of the fur kids that come to camp have been adopted from here and the family knows us and how this all works.
It is time we make that available to the general public...so keep in mind this is ferret camp. Oh also when kids are at camp, they write home to their families sometimes daily, sometimes less often depending on my personal schedule. They get to use the computer so they can tell you how much fun they are having at camp.
The answers help you, again my apology for making it difficult to find on our site. That will be rectified later today.

Heather's response, August 27, 2014:
I will bring in a hard copy when I drop them off. I'm still planning to come to visit on Saturday as well. This is mostly to give you an idea when my fur babies will be around.
I was also wondering if you accept payment plans or will you require the full 800 up front? is there any way I could volunteer to reduce the amount? I'm a starving artist maybe you would like some hand-blown glass? Although, I guess that doesn't seem like a good idea in a home full of fuzzbutts.
Another problem I am having is finding the distemper shot. It seems like all the vets in my area have it on back order. Does your vet have it on hand?
Thanks for all the help and information!
  Heather

Shelter response:
Hey Heather, good to hear from you. Good because it will not let me print. This Saturday 8/30/14?
We do not expect a donation upfront...We can work something out, no one has any real disposable income these days.. I promise I will not make you starve any more than you are.
True but we can raffle it off, we have and event coming up in October that we could use something for silent auction. We can work something out, so it is not a hardship on you.
Yes our vet can work that out for you, we just got 5 campers in today that had to make the trip to doc beforehand because her vet did not have the distemper vaccine so she took them up to Doc.
Looking forward to meeting you. Brenda

Heather's response, August 28, 2014:
Phew, glad your Doc has it. If it's required by the state you'd think more would carry it! I will be up on the 30th.
I will bring up some glass as well as my ferrets, the younger one needs to be acclimated to travel anyhow.
Thank you so much for your understanding I'm sure I've been a pain!
  See you on Saturday!

Shelter response:
It is not that they do not carry it - the manufacture makes a run, once that run is complete they go on to the next med. Most vets do not see the amount of ferrets ours does so they buy what they think they will need and generally run out. If they do not use by the expire date then they must toss it so better to run out than throw out.. Can you give me an ETA so I can have the shelter settled enough to spend time with you? You are fine, we are working our way through some important stuff. Great just give me an idea to time please.
