January 16, 2016:
I found Frankie crashed last night when I was doing meds, I gave him a Dex shot I expected to find him gone this morning but he is still with us. He even ate a full bowl of soup this morning.

January 8, 2016:
Frankie is slowing down. I had to syringe feed him his soup/meds this morning because he did not eat all of his soup last night.

January 5, 2016:
Frankie was acting funny so I did a BG his numbers were 28. No wonder he did not want soup he was too sick to eat. I gave him a Dex shot, put him back in his cage. Tonight he ate soup willingly. He will start on Pred in the morning.

October 24, 2011, Initial contact, Angie:
Hello. My name is Angie. My father found a ferret that was abandoned. He is currently taking care of it but is not in a position to keep it. I can not take it because I have 2 dogs and a cat who would probably harm it. We have made every effort to find a good home for this baby but we have no takers. My dad would like to bring the ferret to you rather than bring it to Lollypop Farms where it would most likely be put down. Thank you.

October 24, 2011, Brenda:
Yes we will take the little one – where are you located? Brenda

October 25, 2011, Angie:
Thank you! Our furry guy's name is Frankie. My dad named him. We live in Rochester. Should my dad call you? He doesn't own a computer so that’s why I'm emailing you. I leave for work soon so if you don’t hear back from me during the day, I will respond back to you this evening.

October 25, 2011, Brenda:
Your dad and our shelter friend Brie are in the process of turning Frankie over to the shelter – thanks for saving the little one – Brenda

Brie picked Frankie up; Mindy contacted Dr Gschrey for us so Frankie could be seen before coming to the shelter. Dr. Edwards was on vacation and they staff were referring all ferrets to the emergency vets so we asked Dr. Gschrey to see Frankie for vetting and vaccines before coming to the shelter. Brie and Mindy took Frankie to see Doc together so the staff could get to meet the shelter staff that makes the vet trips for us. Brie and Mindy brought Frankie down right after the vet appointment, on October 27, 2011.
