This cage group of girls came from Lollypop Farms in July 2001 needing some rehabilitation. They have come a very long way in just a few short months. When the girls got here they did not know they were ferrets let alone know how to act like ferrets. Now however they are ferrets through and through. Loving, sweet little ferret girls that have found a new home in Reading, PA.

August 10, 2007:
I wanted to let you know that Louisie joined Emily over the Rainbow bridge. She was 9 1/2 years old and fought to the end. We knew her time was coming. She was constantly hiding, wouldn't eat and couldn't hold her bowels anymore. We had to bathe her several times a day, had to give her water and hold her. I held her to her last breath Saturday morning. I knew it was just a matter of time, so didn't want her to be alone. Friday night Bruce held her for several hours. She never whimpered, just laid asleep in our arms.
Bruce buried her next to Emily in our garden.

December 28, 2004:
Emily was not getting better, so we took her in to the vet. She has U R I and a slight fever. She is on Amoxicilin. She did not like having her temperature taken. But she is full of life! She is running around and playing. She was scared at the vet. They were soo busy with so many dogs there, and there sat little Emily among all the big dogs, so you know she got the most attention! A little girl petted her and giggled. But Emily was shaking so bad, poor thing, must have been afraid of being hurt or left behind. She was so happy to be back home in her cage.

December 22, 2004:
Now Emily, she is funny. But she is doing alot better. We gave her more soup again last night, and she sounded alot better. She is running around, jumping on top of Thelma, attacking the tube...LOL She is a sweetheart.

November 16, 2004:
Yesterday we had the girls out roaming the house. Emily gets so excited she loses control! LOL She went and bit Bruce on the toe. When Bruce left a yell out and went to sit and look at how badly she bit him, she ran up to him and put her paws up on Bruce's leg looking at him, like saying "I'm sorry, but I want you to play with me!" SO he tickle her belly and she went running around hopping, so funny!
Bruce got me new fluffy slippers last week when I was in the Hospt. ..well, the girls were following me all around. Emily got one off my foot and ran with it.
The girls always act like it is the first time ever out of the room when we leave them out, they get overly excited! But then Bruce needed to start working and was going in and out the house, so away in their room they go. :-( I feel bad when we do that. I remember when they had run of the house day and night, not anymore. At least they have a room all to themselves and we take turns letting them out of their cage.

May 12, 2004, From the Kids:
Thank you Thank You Thank You Thank You Shelter Mom!!! We love you! Mum gave us the new toys you sent us! It got put in this basket she has all our toys in and we just took them out and played with them! We all started laughing at the funny noise it kept making that it made us jump and laugh even harder. We would pounce at it and it jiggled, so we threw it up in the air and it jiggled some more. Dayna thought she could have them all and hide them, but we are all too smart and took them back from her! We love them. Mum said we must keep them in our room when we wanted to take them out and play in her and Pops room. Thank You so much!
  Wet nose kisses...
Emily, Thelma, Louise, Chompers, Dayna, Taz and Petre.
