December 18, 2011:
Thanks far away mom for my presents!
  Delilah

July 4, 2011:
Bandita earned her wings sometime during the night – I had her stable – the internal bleeding stopped – she was crunching kibble yesterday – last night she got her meds – ate some soup – not much but enough I was comfortable with what she ate – this morning I found her gone – she had crawled out of her tent and was laying in front of it – Brenda

Holiday Gifts, 2010:
Dear far away mom – we got our presents – we love them

November 10, 2009, Initial contact, Terri:
Please, we need help. We do cat rescue and took in two adorable 5 yr old ferrets that cannot mix with the cats. We have them in the basement and they are dying for attention. Any suggestions? Delilah and Bandit. She is mauve with a pink nose. Terri

What is your phone number I have friends down your way that may be able to help. You are 8 hours from me. Okay Bob and DeAnna Baker are shelter friends of mine down your way; they will be calling you to come get the ferrets from you. Please send everything they have had with them + what ever food you are feeding them so they will not stress too badly when they leave. Thanks, Brenda

November 10, 2009, Terri:
Hi! Thanks for getting back to me. We are on Long Island, just over the Suffolk border. A former co-worker took them from neighbors of hers and then I think she grew tired of cleaning after them. She had them in an un-heated garage and knew they wouldn't do well there in the up coming winter. So we took them, sure we would find a home pretty quick. It's 2 months now. They are so friendly and are used to being let out to run around. Unfortunately, in my house, I cannot let them out, except in a bathroom. No children here either. We will bring them to a good home if it's not "TOO" far. Thanks again, Terri

Hi Brenda Thank you for sending us such wonderful people. The ferrets seemed quite stressed at first. They said you would be getting the ferrets somehow, though they didn't say how. Gave them all the ferret things, Bandit loves to sleep in the sac. Can you kindly let us know where they go? We care so much for all creatures, great and small, but knew the babies weren't getting enough attention. Going to try to attach pictures. Delilah and Bandit. Thanks again. Terri

PLEASE ACCEPT OUR GRATITUDE AND IF YOU EVER NEED OUR HELP IN A "FELINE" WAY, WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO HELP. TIM AND I ARE BOTH OUT OF WORK. HE FROM A SERIOUS INJURY 9 YEARS AGO, AND I WAS LAID OFF FEB.1 OF THIS YEAR. BOB AND DEANNA SEEM VERY DEAR. IF WE CAN HELP, AGAIN, PLEASE CALL. SINCERELY TERRI

November 13th 2009, Margaret:
Okay I have a call into Jackie she is the one meeting up with you; I was not able to connect so I need to wait for her to call me. I looked at the map it looks like Endicott is about ½ way. I have a shelter friend there that may be able to meet up with you if Jackie can not. I think letting you guys decide what ½ way is and where you want to connect is best but looking at the map that looked like a good place.

Bob and DeAnna are the ones that took the kids in for me, I would like to do this as quickly as possible as the fur kids really have no place to run around so they are keeping them caged unless they can be with them to let them romp on the bed.

I spoke with her just before I sent the first email to you so she knows I am working on getting the kids a ride to Naples. They have a fur kid that needs to see Doc so they are sending Wolfy too so I can get him in for his surgery.

Once I hear from Jackie I will give her your number so you guys can decide between you when and where.

I will definitely do that Brenda. It will be good for me anyway to get out and take a trip. Just let me know the info and who to contact. Maybe I can plan it for tomorrow or Sunday if they are able to. We will work it out. Margaret

  Ok Brenda,
I spoke with Deanna just now. I am going to try and get to their place at about 1pm tomorrow. The Bob said if I don’t hit traffic it should take me about an hour and a half but if I hit traffic a lot longer so hopefully I wont. Then I will bring the ferrets back to my place for overnight and then leave Sunday morning probably around 6 or 7am so I can get to you by about 12 or 1pm. Hopefully it will go smoothly and they will be to you soon okay? I will write to you tomorrow before I leave and once I get back with them and then again before I leave S.I to come to you. Take care for now, Margaret

  Hi Brenda,
I am waiting for Wally to get here shortly. I think his girlfriend Val is coming too for the ride. But I wanted to let you know this before we got there that Wolfy, the white ferret is loaded with fleas. I didn’t notice them until this morning when I was cleaning the cages. I don’t know if the two brown ones have them but there are many on the white one. So you might need to keep them quarantined until you can get rid of them. I heard one of the brown ones-the bigger of the two chewing this morning so I don’t know if its a stress ulcer starting or not but just so you are aware of that too. Okay well we will be on our way shortly with the fuzzies! See you soon, Margaret
