November 1, 2023:
Sid on the other hand, is not doing well at all I got some soup into him by dropper, then gave him some fluids. I hope the fluids will give him some energy to eat more. I'll try more soup in an hour or so. I had Sid in the dining room I was going to turn that into a sick pen. However when I went to get him up to give him soup tonight he was gone.

October 31, 2023:
When I checked on Sid you can see he feels like crap, I thought he might need fluids tonight, he didn't. I'm thinking if he still feels crappy tomorrow morning I'm going to start him on Moxy.

August 26, 2023:
Sid is not ready to get out of bed.

July 26, 2023:
Sid is brighter this morning, I'm thinking he may be going through an early coat change.

July 26, 2023:
Sid is still acting off, however his poo looks good. When I went to his cage door tonight he did not come out to see what I wanted. I started him on Pred, hopefully tomorrow I will see improvement. If not I will need to get him in to see OFD if I can, if not I will call Dr. F.

July 26, 2023:
Sid is acting odd, I couldn't get him up yesterday when I got home. He's usually digging at the cage door to get out. I found him in the Octopus this morning, I had to pull him out. He feels like he's lost weight. After coffee this morning I'm going to check him out, see if I can get some soup in him. He doesn't like soup much, I'll see if that helps to perk him up.

Initial Contact, May 30, 2022:
Hi Brenda, I recently discovered that I have an allergy to my furry friend, Sid. He's a ferret that's a little over 3 years old, and full of energy. I discovered your farm while looking for a new home for him, and after looking around I immediately knew it was the one. I would ideally like for him to find a home at your shelter with the other ferrets, however I would also be okay with placement in a loving family. It's very important to me that Sid is loved where he goes next. Thank you, Joseph C.

May 30, 2022, Shelter Response:
Good morning Joseph, this link will explain how our surrender process works. Where are you located? Brenda

Owner Response: Hi Brenda, I am located in Troy, New York. However I do have the ability to travel to the area where you are located. I also wanted to mention that Sid is up to date on both rabies and distemper shots.

Shelter Response: With documentation? Our facility is full, however we have some adoptions coming up June 11. If you can hang on to him until after that we can take him. Brenda.

May 31, 2022, Owner Response: Yes with documentation, and Dr. Cary at Sand Creek Veterinary Hospital in Albany NY can confirm if needed. I am able to hold onto him until June 11th as well.

June 1, 2022, Shelter Response: Does June 12th work for you? Bring Sid's documentation and all that belongs to him with you. Let me know if that date works, if not let me know what does.

Owner Response: June 12th would work for me. What time frame are you thinking?

Shelter Response: June 12th it is. We are open at noon close at 4, surrender takes about 45 minutes.

June 12, 2022, Owner Response:I'll be traveling around 3.5 hours so I can't give an exact time, however I will be aiming to be at the facility at 3pm.
