Initial Contact, December 28, 2023:
We received a telephone call about a found ferret running the streets in Batavia NY, the cage mate had been hit by a car and killed. The person calling lives in Brockport NY, they were given our telephone number by Brockport Animal Hospital. The person that brought the ferret home called us for help. I mentioned the call to Tom he wanted to go pick the little guy up to deliver him to the shelter. By this time it was 3 in the afternoon. I agreed Tom could go pick the little one up but asked him to take him home with him it was going to be too late for an intake. The family that caught and brought Mr. Butters home, called Tom to let him know the ferret had gone into hiding they could not find him. They called Tom at 11 pm to let him know they found the little guy, with Tom's insistence they secured him in a carrier until Tom got there to pick him up at 10 am Thursday.
