January 13, 2023:
Marceline is gone, for real this time. She was cold and stiff when I went to get her up this morning.

January 11, 2023:
I got Marceline moved into her new cage, she ate well at noon, ate so so at 4 o'clock med time. Marceline found her way into her sleep box when I settled her in her new digs.

January 10, 2023:
I screwed up in a good way. I checked on Marceline this morning; she was in her hammock I stuck my hand in her blanket she was cool to the touch I couldn't find a heartbeat. She's gone. Not so much! I went to get her out to wrap her in a blanket for burial. Her little head popped up and looked at me, as well as she could she's blind. She surprised me,I pick her up she's warm as toast and wants out; really really wants out. She was more active than when I put her to bed last night.
I made her a bowl of soup, I fed her by dropper, she took about 15 ml. She wanted down, so I took her to the window end room. She found a place to sleep, she's NOT gone. I asked Dr. Sandra where do I go from here. We are doing 10 units of Dex morning and night, 15 ml fluids. I let her have the window end all day. I offered her soup tonight, she sat in my lap ate on her own out of a bowl.

January 9, 2023:
I dropper fed Marceline 5 ml of soup this morning, that's all I could get her to eat.

January 8, 2023:
Marceline is not eating the soup I'm leaving her. Something is up but I'm not sure what.

January 4, 2023:
Marceline has been acting off, I did a blood test on her this morning. Her numbers are not awful 72. She gets soup only when I serve meds to the others. The soup is keeping her numbers up I'm sure. She's lost a considerable amount of weight, but she is active and eating kibble, I'll have to watch her.

July 20, 2021:
Alonzo is gone, I found him in the hammock curled up with his sissy.

April 10, 2021:
I'm going to clean Mike's cage and put Alonzo and Marceline in there, as long as Alonzo is on meds once a day it will be easier to have him in the medical bank. That will free up the horizontal cage on the North side of the room.

Initial Contact, August 8, 2019:
Hello there, my heart is breaking, but I just received a call from my daughter telling me she can't have her ferrets anymore. Financially she can't afford them and her boyfriend constantly complains about them too. The terrible thing is that she took them because I couldn't care for them anymore. Stormageddon is I think 7yrs old, and has some health problems; Alonso is about 4-5yrs old and is statting to lose hair in his belly that could mean adrenal disease. The problem with Alonso is that he is EXTREMELY intelligent, I've had many ferrts and none comes even close to how smart this guy is. But because he is so smart, he also gets bored easily and becomes very destructive. And the last one is Marceline, the boss of the group, she's a sweetheart and she's about 2-3yrs old. She's healthy and active and very smart too. Do you have any suggestions? I don't want to let them go, but I can't take them in. My heart is in pieces, especially Stormy being old and sick. There's so much I could tell you about these guys!
You can call me with questions, suggestions, etc.
