I am not sure there has been any scientific study done to prove it, there is plenty of anecdotal evidence that a diet high in carbohydrates makes ferrets more susceptible to developing insulinomas. Most if not all of the ferret "expert" vets will tell you that it is not good to feed your ferrets sugary treats. We are constantly complaining about the many diseases that affect our furry companions, so why would we want to feed them something that will increase the likelihood of them getting these diseases.

Please think about what you are feeding your pet.
