Books, Rubber Stamps and More |
This department will cover all items you will need to send your friends a note, card, or present.
Deena Haner: I live in Candor NY. I currently have a 6-pack, getting my first ferret 6 years ago. I needed to raise money for Kiwi's adrenal surgery so I started making picture cards, Brenda liked them so well she asked to purchase some for her store. I've been taking pictures for about 25 years. I've had photos published in Ferrets Magazine, Inline Magazine, Birds and Blooms Magazine, and have won several photo contests.
Linda Gaylord Designs: A great selection of Rubber Stamps and special
Rainbow Bridge Ferret Sympathy Cards.
Lynne Whited: Silver plated bookhooks combined with glass beads and/or pewter charms are strung with wire and crimped. Each bookmark is hand made. These are a great way to mark your place in your favorite book.
Melissa Widmer: Blank Ferret Note Cards with Envelopes. Makes a great
Gifts or Raffle Item.
Stephanie Nickles: I live in NY, about 6 years ago I got a ferret. I now have 8 of them, 3 from this shelter. Brenda came to me with the ideas, I helped in the creative area's. (ie, colors, design, ect.) I have
now been doing it for her for about 2 years.
Sue Burda: I've been drawing all my life and up until a certain ferret named Bandit came into my life, I decided to make cartoons involving them and their antics. They have appeared in the GCFA bi-monthly newsletter for 3 years, and I have also done designs for the GCFA Show cover and "Ask the Doctor" article in the
newsletter, by Susan Brown, DVM. Just recently, I did a "play" on the "Ferrets for Dummies" book, reversing the words and pictured a ferret reading a copy of "Dummies for Ferrets" complete with the ferret sitting in the chair with a
quizzical look on his face! Credit to author Kim Schilling. (She loved it!)
Twisted Willow Wood
Designers: We
started our business February 2008. Linda loves woodworking and has many
years experience working with wood. We wanted to start our own business so
we could work for ourselves. Linda quit her job at Gunlock’s in June 2008
to concentrate on our new business. She was not able to do that working 55+
hours a week. I want to get out of nursing (and someday soon I hope too) and
have always been interested in starting a business. I enjoy the other
aspects of running a business which compliments Linda's skills. We enjoy
creating unique products. We concentrate on animal related items as we both
love animals. Other items we make are purely aesthetics for the home. These
items please us in our home and we want to share that.
