August 2008 news

Possum jumping up and down trying to get your attention!!!

Hey everybody our club: ferret lovers club of upstate New York is having a picnic August 23rd at Miss Stephanie’s house in Greece. It is a dish to pass event with Chicken BBQ as the main coarse; (yummy I love chicken) Chicken will be supplied. NO I am not giving up any of my personal stash! You can even bring a fuzz butt (s) if you want. Miss Stephanie’s E-mail address is: admin@ferretloversuny.org so you can let her know you want to hang out with me; I mean us, she will tell you how to get to her house. . Miss Stephanie put me down for 1 chicken please.

Suzie Q here: Oh brother here we go again; it is all about you? NOT!! You have the picnic announced so lets get telling the news!

Possum here: Hey Suz has you heard mum muttering something about us writing a book?

Suzie Q here: First of all how many times do I have to tell you my name is Suzie Q; NOT Suz and mum does not mutter! I am going to tell my far away mom Anna W. that you will not call me by my given name if you don’t stop calling me Suz!

Possum here: Man! what side of the hammock did you get up on this morning? Mum does too mutter! I have been here longer than you and I has heard her mutter lots! She mutters like I jump up and down for attention.

Suzie Q here: It does not matter what side of the hammock I got up on, you need to learn that the humans that read this news take what we say as fact so you need to be careful what you say about our mum! As for my name; I was given the name Suzie Q by our mum and if that is what she wants me called then you should honor what mum wants! Besides I like my name! Beats the dumb name Possum!

Possum here: Are you done? Can we get back to the “subject” at hand? See I remember what I am taught; now I want to talk about mum thinking about us writing a book, have you heard anything about that?

Suzie Q here: All I know is; there are some humans owned by ferrets and not that have contacted mum and said they think we (you and I) should write a book, maybe a children’s book. I also know that mum keeps saying who would want to read a book that we write.

Possum here: what? Mum don’t think we could write a book? Who said they think we should write a book?

Suzie Q here: I don’t think that mum thinks we “could not” write a book, I just think she wonders how many people would want to buy a book we write. Let’s see who thinks we should write a book; the Baker Bunch, Miss Loana S., and now Miss Margaret G. thinks we should write a book. They are the ones I have heard mum speak about anyway, there may be more though.

Possum here: so humans think we should write a children’s book and mum does not think anyone would want to buy such a thing? How about we ask all the humans that read our news what they think about us writing a book,? that way if they think it is a good idea maybe mum will let us do it. And maybe we can get miss sue B. to help us do illustrations’ and…

Suzie Q here: Woooooh there girl! Don’t you think you are getting ahead of yourself? What would we write about? I mean what do 2 legged furless kids like to read about? Do they read?

Possum here: I don’t know!! This was the humans owned by ferrets and not idea! How am I supposed to know?

Suzie Q here: Oh great! You want to write a book, you even want Miss Sue B. to help with illustrations, you want mum to let us write a book BUT you DON’T know what we would write about? That is just POOR! What do you say we get on with the REAL news and forget about this book stuff?

So; mum had 12 days off from the big yellow thingy she went back to work on July 7th we are sad but we know she needs to work so we can eat. We understand she needs to be in and out all day long. She was off work just 2 days and on the 3rd day she hurted her back! It was a Saturday so she had to have a hurt back till she could get into see the back doctor; mum calls him the bone cracker. Anyway she saw the bone cracker on Monday then Miss Cathy R. came down with her table on Tuesday and she worked on mum’s back too. See Miss Cathy R. is a licensed massage therapist (L.M.T.) Mum felt much better when Miss Cathy got done with her, then mum had another appointment with the bone cracker so she is feeling much much better. Thanks Miss Cathy R. for maken our mum feel better!

Possum here: Hey Suzie Q, don’t forget to tell the humans that Miss Cathy’s business is called “Right Touch Message Therapy”.

Suzie Q here: Do you mind? I was going too! Then Miss Cathy R. said the lawn is long hasn’t Miss Donna been here? Mum tolds Miss Cathy R. that Miss Donna D. had to go to the hospital to have surgery so she had not been here to help. Sooooooo Miss Cathy R. went out and mowed the front lawn for mum. Miss Donna is all better, she came this week and got what Miss Cathy R. did not get to; all done! Mum says we are very lucky to have so many humans want to help mum take care of us.

Possum here: Suzie Q, I wish you would let me call you Suz! Remember last month we posted the link to our clinic pictures that Mr. Harry put up for us? Well mum got a report from the place Mr. Harry put them on and 1,479 humans went to look at the pictures that were taken that day!! How can that many people want to see pictures when I am not in them?

Here is the link in case you missed it.

http://community.webshots.com/album/563851571pKZvNP

also If you go to more shelter kid’s album then to the last page you will see our little DMK Munchkin with her new mom. Thanks for posting that for us Mr. Harry. Munchkin went to live with Miss Susann T. last month.

Suzie Q here: Here we go again! It is not about YOU!

Possum here: well if it is not about me then how is it that I have 2 boy friends and you have none?  Forest and Ralphie think I am just fine. Ralphie even got sad when he thought I was going to run away with Isabella’s Super Tonks extraordinaire.

Suzie Q here: Big deal you have 2 boy friends, Jill G. came all the way from Buffalo to play with me and help mum pick up poopy papers. All the while she was helpen mum, she was playing with me; not you. ME! She did not play with you did she? You have far away boy friends I have far away shelter friends that come to play with me! Hump! SO There!

Possum here: Okay so Anyway mum got some really cool pictures from Miss Lisa and Mr. Peter. They are pictures of the new wall Miss Lisa built in their apartment; Mr. Peter admittedly says building is not his thing. .  See mum and Miss Donna D. went to their apartment so they could adopt one of us or more, but mum tolds them that the wall behind the sofa was too short and anyone they took from here would be up and over it in a heart beat! The drop is about 18 feet! Ouch! that would hurt!  Heck some of us jump the 29” barriers mum has up so going up on the sofa and on to the ½ wall would be cake dribbled with ferretone to us!  So Miss Lisa and Mr. Peter took mums suggestion and built the wall up high so we ferrets could not get over it! Mum is trying to figure out how you guys can get to see it because mum is so thrilled with the wall. The pictures came to her on paper not the computer. It is beautiful and mum said it was a brilliant way to keep us from falling. No one is going over that wall now!!! Way to go Lisa and Peter!  Arnold and Ferris went to their house to live shortly after the wall was complete. .

Suzie Q here: My turn!  Mum gots some new kids in. Mum found 2 fur kids on the back step of our house on a Saturday morning in a carrier. No names, no information. So they are called Fred and Ginger, They are cuties. Then Miss Cathy R. went to pick up a little girl that was found by the Riga Town ACO. Her name is Daisy May. Miss Cathy was here when mum got the call from the ACO, Miss Cathy R lives up that way so she said as long as she was going to be back down for the yard sale the next day she would bring her down, So mum gots 3 new kids in the shelter. What do you think Possum we have a pretty long news letter I guess we better close this one and put stuff we did not cover in the September news. Mr. Big might not be able to get this new on the FML if it is much longer.

Possum here: sure we better. So to all of your from all of us! Byeeee for now .

Suzie Q here: until next month

Possum here:  H-E-L-L-O! OH HELLO out there. Are any of you reading the news? I told you mum was getting to be a chunky monkey! Then what do you humans do? You bring mum food!

Suzie Q here: Hey fuzz brain, the food was not just for mum it was the club party http://ferretloversuny.org/  so there was all kinds of food for all the people that came to the party/meeting.

Possum here:  Oh yeah? Well what about the whole already baked chicken that Miss Mary B brought? Or how about the spice cake with peanut butter frosting that Miss Kristie brought? Do you really think any of that is going to last more than a day in this house?  The cake is already gone. And it is only Monday. Any way they told mum it was just for her. She is going to be more than a chunky monkey if you guys keep feeding her like that. Oh yeah and Miss Nicky and Mr. Mike brought mum food too in the form of a gift card, for a late Christmas present. I know she needs special food but if you guys are not careful she is going to be as big as a bear before long.

Suzie Q here: You know fuzz brain; you are really not on the mark with that thinking.

Possum here:  I am too!  If you would pay attention to mum getting ready for work in the morning you would see her struggling to get into her jeans, that missy; is a chunky monkey act!

Mum here: Ladies! Ladies! Ladies!  Your captive audience is not interested in my eating habits or my ability or lack there of; in how I get dressed in the morning, they want to hear about shelter news. Get on with it or I will assign new reporters to the task!

Suzie Q: Now see what you have done Possum, you got mum mad at us, now she is going to start looking for others to take over the news and I have not had the chance to become the senior reporter.

Possum here:  over my dead body is the only way you will become senior reporter! Now; I am going to start the news. We got some neat messages from people about our reporting

Suzie; take a look at this one.

I haven't e-mailed you in quite some time, but still read your monthly newsletters.  Your shelter is one of a very few that I check in on, as I have now been without a ferret in my home for almost 3 long and lonely years.  With all the costs needed to maintain a shelter, perhaps the note below will help.  Please enter your shelter, and let me know when it is entered.  I'll have my family vote for your shelter every day.

Give Possum a hug for me.....Jane L. (WI)

Possum here:  See Humans just love me! Then there is this one, waving at you Miss Maureen B. and Miss Jane L.

Miss Maureen B. She lives in the UK she sent us a message that she loves to read our news too. Wow we have people in London UK reading our news!

Suzie Q: My turn! They don’t just like the news because of you; they like it because I help! Little Snow got sick; Miss Kristie picked her up and took her to our favorite doc. She was too sick to fix, she went to Rainbow Bridge. Mum messed up and was almost out of meds for us; she thought she had a back up and she didn’t; so Miss Cathy R got some from our favorite Doc, took them to Miss Donna and Miss Donna brought them to mum. Phew, mum only had enough for a day or two. Thanks you guys for transporting sick kids and medicine for us. Oh yeah then Miss Cathy R posted on the FML about the thank you card Sebastian sent to her for getting him his meds. I think he is brown nosing don’t you Possum? Miss Cathy R has been doing sewing for us; she made us some cage door covers so maybe Sebastian has the right idea.

Possum here:  NO Missy!  Miss Cathy R saw mum was using the sleepy sacks Miss Ret and her mom made us to sleep in for the doors so Miss Cathy made covers special for the doors so we could use the sleepy sacks to sleep in! Man you are so not with it sometimes!

Suzie Q:  What ever! Man you are a fuzz brain! Marlin and Titus got a new 4-ever home with Miss Kristie B. in Livonia; Ping got a new 4-ever home with Miss Mary B. in Fulton.  Miss Nicole and Mr. Mike brought their fur kids to camp so they could go on vacation. The Walker and Donahue kids were here at camp too.

Possum here:  okay my turn! I am going to tell about the club meeting/party., we had here at the shelter.  Miss Kristie, Miss Stephanie, Miss Donna, Miss sue k. she brought Mr. David, Miss Mary b.  Miss joy and Mr. Peter B. all came to the meeting, we had good talk, lots of food that no one would share with me, and humans that sat down to play with us. We have a date to see Winken, Blinkin and Nadia’s dad again. He is coming back to New York for a show right here in Naples at the Bristol valley theater on May 3rd at 7pm and May 4th at 2pm.  Check out their website at www.bvtnaples.org .

We are going to make the Sunday Matinee a club event.

There has been no date set for Petco but the club members are aiming for the 19th of April for a ferret awareness day. Keep watch for the conformation on that date.

Mum had a whole week off from the big yellow thingy so Miss Donna D took a vacation day to come help mum take cages bottoms off cages and put new clean ones on. Miss Cathy D. came that same day to help; she loved on me lots and lots. Then the rest of the week mum was stripping play rooms, washing all the toys, bedding, tents/beds, and scrubbing floors. We messed them up real quick so it was back the way we wanted it.

Suzie Q: Miss Stephanie and Miss Donna were here on  Saturday helpen mum, then Miss Kristie came in on Sunday and she did some stuffs too, we had lots of new humans come check out the shelter cause they want to adopt somebody, then Mr. Peter B came to visit again too. He did not come see Possum or me, he went right into the DMK kids to check them out, HUMP he evened got them up to hold and love one them. What is up with that, we are the reporters we should be the ones humans come to see.

Possum here:   Boy Suzie maybe you could be a senior reporter you are starting to sound just like me. Well it looks like we got all the things mum wanted us to cover in the news so I guess we had better close.

Suzie Q: Hold it, you forgot this:

The Pittsburgh Ferret Symposium will be hosted by the International Ferret Congress November 7 - 9. We welcome all who care about ferrets to come and learn the latest in ferret health care, to see what products are on the market for these little companions and to share the love of ferrets. if you want to know more go here http://www.ferretcongress.org  (Miss Renee D. wrote that part I stoled it from her,)

Mum says there is still some vendor spaces left so if you are interested contact mum at this address ferretfarm@eartlink.net

Possum here: mum has been doing eBay, you can find the stuff she is putting on there here; http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZferretfarm

Okay now we are done.

So until next month;

Possum senior reporter; Suzie Q always in my fur

Suzie Q here: Fuss brain! Stay warm in your hidey hole……. Byeeee

Possum here:  oh boy! oh boy! oh boy!  The Big Yellow Thingy is all done! Mum is home with me now all day! I can't wait till she plays and plays with me all day long! That means Miss Cathy D. is all done too maybe she will come play with me too! Hey everybody my mum is all done driving the big yellow thingy for the summer!

Suzie Q here: I hate to burst your bubble there Possum but mum has to drive the big yellow thingy over the summer, only she gets the next 2 weeks off then she starts back to work. She needs to feed us so she needs to work. Now we have lots and lots of things to report so let’s get to work.

Possum here:  Okay so let’s do it!  So Suzie what happened to clinic day? I thought that was going to happen on the 14th Of June.

Suzie Q here: It did happen on the 14th Of June. There were lots and lots of humans here, why do you think Miss Kristie was in the shelter all day? Thanks Miss Kristie for taking over for our mum! Miss Cathy R. took care of the raffle table for mum, Miss Mary B. and Miss Joy D. did the auction, Miss Pat N.  Miss Mary M. and Doc worked hard to look at fuzz butts, then Our Favorite Doc pulled the winning ticket for the stained glass and Miss Mary M. pulled tickets for the raffle table stuffs.  Miss Donna D. Miss Stephanie N.  Miss Stacie K. and Miss Jill W. did what ever mum needed them to do for her. Miss Val the only non-ferret friend here cooked hot dogs on the grill for mum again this year! We even had a brand new shelter friend come that day, Miss Mindy H. Did you have fun Miss Mindy?  Here is the link to see the pictures that Mr. Peter and Miss Lisa took for mum. Thanks you guys for documenting the day!  Mr. Harry got them up on the site so everybody can see them! Thanks Mr. Harry for doing that for mum! We missed you on Clinic day! Even our favorite Doc asked where you were.

http://community.webshots.com/album/563851571pKZvNP

Mr. Peter and Miss Lisa took more pictures on their camera; Mum has to send them to Mr. Harry to put up on there too.

Possum here:  WHAT the heck!  No one came in to see me, hold me or bring me presents!

Suzie Q here: Will you get over yourself Possum?  That day is not about you; it is about all the fuzz butts out there that need to see our favorite Doc; to get check ups and hurt sticks to keep them happy and healthy. It is; a coming together of the fur for the benefit of the fur in the 4-ever homes that fur kids have gotten. Mum even sent 4 fur kids out that day to new 4-ever homes! Way to go mum! Oh and Miss Anna and Mr. Chris came with Popcorn and Velcro so mum could see them again, and Miss Donna Z. brought Feisty and Julie so mum could see them. It was like old home week at the shelter for mum and all the kids that used to live here.

Possum here:  Getting hurt sticks keeps fuzz butts happy? Are you out of your fuzzy little brain?

Suzie Q here: Okay! Okay! So hurt sticks don’t make us happy but they keep us healthy. Now mum has something to say…

Mum Here: How do I say thank you to all the people that make clinic day happen?  Each year seems to get bigger and better! As each person makes “their part” work; it makes my day easier! The weather though wet was certainly more bearable than last year, the fur kids sure seemed to enjoy the wet grass and the mud they were able to find out in the play yard. I am incredibly blessed to have such wonderful people in my life to help me do the job I so love to do! This includes all the people that sent or brought things for the raffle table to help bring in money for the kids. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for supporting my goals and helping me make them happen, it could not be done without you! Okay girls mum is done you can take over the news again.

Possum here:  geezzz she got a little wordy don’t you think Suzie? Miss Joy sent us a link to the pictures she took for the photo shoot on clinic day. Miss Joy is even giving permission to download and print anything you want. You can see them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8891073@N03

Suzie Q here: You better watch it there Possum or mum is going to replace you! Next subject!

Possum here:  What is a subject?

Suzie Q here: How is it you are the senior reporter and you do not know what a subject is? A subject is what we talk about in the news, important things we discuss in the news.

Possum here:  so what subject are we going to talk about now? Oh! Oh! I know! I know! The club picnic, Miss Stephanie is having it at her house on Saturday, August 23rd from 12 noon till … If you want to know more go here http://ferretloversuny.org/

And don’t forget about the 2008 Symposium:
November 7 - 9 in Pittsburgh, PA you can get more information here:
http://www.ferretcongress.org/

Mum got to see her two 2 legged furless kids, daughter in-laws and grandkids on father’s day. Her 2 legged furless boys bought her a new toy, a portable DVD player. Mum says she thinks she has all the 21st century stuffs now. She just needs to learn how to use them.

Suzie Q here: Miss Susann T. came to the shelter to see if she could find a new fur kid to love, she could only get one of us because she wants to work him/her into the business she already has. She looked at several of us and none of us seemed interested in going to live with her. Then Miss Susann saw Munchkin. Munchkin is a DMK kid that came in for mum to work with. She was a pretty good biter when she got here. Mum got her to feel safe and secure, so safe and secure that Munchkin became an official Ferret Farm ferret (meaning she was now happy to be here) on 6-21-08! Mum has been working to help her feel comfortable in all the play rooms; the kitchen is the last and the hardest because it includes mums upstairs apartment. It is more space, up the stairs and includes a hall and bath room. On this morning mum picked Munchkin up over the barrier set her down in the small area at the bottom of the stairs. This usually sends Munchkin running for under the microwave cabinet to shudder and watch for a ½ hr to make sure she is safe. However on this morning she hit the floor talking and immediately gave mum the wow! I am in the kitchen dance. Mum was so proud of her! Anyway…

Possum here:  Suzie you are not telling the right story!

Suzie Q here:  I am too! Anyway so Susann wants to know who this little one is in this cage, mum says oh that is Munchkin. Susann opens the cage door and Munchkin crawls out into Susann’s arms and gives her kisses. Mum was so surprised. Susann wanted Munchkin, so mum reluctantly said well go to the library and let’s see how she interacts with you. Mum’s heart was breaking because Munchkin was telling her that she found her 4-ever mom and she wanted to go live with Susann. Mum told her and Susann that if they change their minds Munchkin can come back. The good news is that both Susann and Munchkin are very happy with each other.  Well we have tolds lots and this is long so we better close for now.

So until next month;

February  2008 News

Suzie Q here: F.Y.I. Mr. Harry made a link for our news so you can get our news, on the boards that do not allow our news format because it is so big.

Possum here: Hey what are you doing starting the news? I am the senior reporter; I get to start the news!

Suzie Q here: Do you see today’s date? It is the 7th when were you going to start the February news? in March?

Possum here: What ever, Hey mum tolds me to remind you guys that have “fast computer” mail that we don’t! we still can not get it here so mum said the dial up is all we have. Mum says it is because we live in a place that has more wild animals then people and she is okay with that, but. We are getting big stuffs again and it is making the computer slow so mum is not getting time to answer her mail in the morning, before she goes to work. She is getting behind because of the big stuffs people is sending us. Please let mum know ahead of time if you need to send something big so she can work around the big stuff.

Suzie Q here: Are you sure mum told you that? Or are you telling stories again.

Possum here: Yup! Yup! Yup! I am sure mum did.  I don’t tell stories!

Suzie Q here: sure you do! Jack, Scooter 9 Possum imposter) and Charlie went to live with Miss Cathy R. Miss Cathy R. was suppose to take Sammie too but Sammie got really sick so Cathy R picked her up delivered her to our favorite Doc. Doc could not fix her so she is at rainbow bridge. But Miss Cathy R. said she would still take the other 3 anyway. Rascal and Zoey B. have a new brother, their mom and dad saved him from a family that did not want him any more.  Miss Cathy D. may get a new fuzz butt too, from another family that wants to throw him away.  Our club valentine party is going to be here at the shelter on Feb 16. If you want to come let Miss Stephanie and Miss Kristie know here http://ferretloversuny.org/ We want lots of humans to come so we get extra play time with different humans to hang out with.

Possum here: HOLD IT right there missy; you are not going to take over my news! It is my turn! Mum got notice that 696 humans looked at our pictures on web shots. Wow that means we had 696 people read our news. That means I do a super duper news letter!

Suzie Q here: No that means WE do a super duper news letter.

Possum here: I am the senior reporter so I do the super duper news!

Mum Here: enough ladies, stop bickering, the news is super duper because YOU BOTH do a super duper job!

Suzie Q here: Hump see miss know it all, told ya.

Possum here: I am ignoring you! So We got a Surprise visit from Miss Cindy H. when mum got home from work; she brought us papers, bread bags and then stayed to mix food and sweep the floor for mum while mum did meds and cleaned cages.

Suzie Q here:  Mum got a call and email about a fuzz butt at the Utica H.S. the little guy only had a few days left before he was to be put down. Mum got in touch with Miss Wendy L. and Miss Joy D. she told them what was going on could they help. Both ladies jumped right on it. Miss Joy went to pick him up on Monday she was to deliver him to mum on Thursday, only Wed night mum got a call from Miss Joy, she fell head over heels in love with the little man and said she wanted to keep him. Mum was thrilled he had a 4-ever home with a really cool ferret mom. Thanks Miss Joy D.  And Miss Wendy L. for helpen our mum help us fur kids, you guys are the best.

Possum here:  Mum says she gives up, boycotting eBay was only hurting her not eBay or all the people that buy and sell on eBay so she gives up and says she will put stuff back on eBay. So keep watch because she has stuff there already.  The lady that does the transfers for mum and Sue is retiring from doing the shirts for them, so the rainbow bridge designs we were going to do are going to have to wait. Mum will let you know when she has the press back and can put that stuff together for you. The  new person doing crazy toys for us is getting our stock back up, she is just learning some of the toys so it is taking some time to get the toys back in stock., that and she works full time so she does the toys for us special. Thanks Miss Dawn for stepping up to the plate, thanks Miss Nichole (a 2 legged furless kid that rides mum big yellow thingy) for delivering the toys to mum. See Nichole is Miss Dawn’s daughter. Miss Kristie was here helping mum, she got some raffle baskets done for the party we are having here. She loved on us, freshened up food and water in the play rooms.

Suzie Q here:  Hey are you going to save some news for me “miss I am going to do it all myself”?  The new DMK kids that came in are doing great, mum still calls the big group the Category 5 crew but she is getting names for them. The girls are Scardycat because she is afraid of her own shadow but she is getting better with mum, she will just run from mum now not hide too when mum wants to move them to a new play room. Then there is Puck, she is called puck because she will not stay out from in front of mums feet so she gets scooted across the floor like a hockey puck. The boys are big foot and little foot. There is one more of the 5 a little fluffy albino girl that does not have a name yet, mum suggested a couple of them to her this morning but she did not like the suggestions so she is still little miss no name. Then there is the little biter that came in as bloom, mum changed it to Munchkin, she is now getting the bigger play room because she will come when mum needs her to come. They are all settling in nicely, loving the playrooms, loving the play time, hugs and lots of kisses, oh yeah Miss Donna was kissing one of them and they bit her nose. Mum does not know what one got Miss Donna but they got her pretty darn good. Miss Donna was a good sport about it; she just laughed and said I know better than to put my face in front of theirs.

Possum here:  Hello! It is my turn!  So mum had the category 5 crew living under Crumb and Kalie, Crumb came in for Rehab she is doing so good that mum no longer gets bites from her, only all of a sudden she is biting mum again and real hard. Mum finally figured out that crumb was upset with her new neighbors. Once mum moved the category 5 crew into a cage across the room away from crumbs cage. crumb got better again. Guess she does not like rowdy neighbors.  Okay it looks like we have covered all the news we have for now.

So until next month;

Possum senior reporter; Suzie Q always in my fur

Suzie Q here: stay warm in your hidey hole……. Byeeee

October 2007 News

Possum Here:  Holy Moley 460 of you humans went to look at our pictures! That is so way cool. Now for some sad news. There was a Crazy weekend so many shelter friends came to help mum and play with us. Mum helped Miss Collette with her sick little girl. Mum did not win that battle she crossed over to Rainbow Bridge. Miss Collette came back to get her to take her to the vet to get her mercy shot

Suzie Q here:  My Turn! Our Harry boy went to Rainbow Bridge. Miss Stephanie came to get him to get him to our favorite doc. He couldn’t be fix Miss Mary helped him get his wings. Miss Cathy R. picked him up and brought him home. Then Miss Cathy helped mum get all the garbage out of the barn so we can use it for the yard sale in 2 weeks. Miss Donna D came over to help mum in the shelter and out in the yard. We had a birthday dinner too cause it was Miss Donna D. birthday on that Sunday.

Possum Here:  Me next for some news! Miss Mary B and Miss Joy came to see us; they brought their new babies to play in the play yard. Miss Rikki and Miss Madison came to help and play with us, they helped move the very heavy tiles to the living room. Mum stood at the top of the stairs and they brought them up to mom. One box weighs about 65 pounds so mum and the girls took them out of the box and brought them up a little at a time.

Suzie Q here:  possum did you know mum hitted a deer with her bus?

Possum Here:  Yes I did. Mm did not get hurt but the deer did. The deer got broke and so did the bus.

Suzie Q here: Oh I thought mum only told me.

Possum Here:  Nope mum tells ME everything. Miss Stacie came to visit; she wanted to know who the 2 new kids were.  When mum told her it was the possum imposter,  she said she did not believe there was an imposter; that I was making it up. HUMP! I don’t makes things up Miss Stacie.  On 9/22 people from all over including  My far away mom Miss Susann T. came to pick up stuff for all our cousins in Ohio.they are called the D.M. kids Miss Cathy R.,  Miss Nicky,  Miss Donna were all here. Mum was going crazy trying to keep up with things. Mum had things out and piled high for them to take to Ohio

Suzie Q here:  Okay save me some news!  Miss Cheri R. and Miss Sue from a far away place camed here with 2 new kids that were found running around outside. The 2 kids are ferrets that can have and make babies. But they are NOT D.M. KIDS!  We know cause they have the sign on them. Miss Cheri runs a farm animal rescue so she called our mum to see if mum could help her with these 2 kids. Mum said sure she could. They don’t have no names, but mum is calling the BIG BOY Pop Corn, because he is all yellow and white so he looks like pop corn. Thanks Miss Cathy R.  for that idea. Pop Corn came in with a hurt leg, Miss Stephanie came to get him to our favorite Doc. Doc gots him all fixed. His leg was shattered so he has a pin in his bone with some kind of mesh holding it all together till it gets better. Mr. Tom brought Pop corn home. The little girl’s name is Velcro cause when mum picks her up she sticks like Velcro to mum.

Mum found quite a surprise on this morning when she got Velcro up. Little Velcro had babies.  Mum got Velcro up, put her in a play room when mum was cleaning Velcro’s cage she felt her sleep sack was all wet. When mum touched the bottom it felt like there was something in it so mum stuck her hand in the sack and came out with a hand full of baby ferrets. 7 of them then she found one more in another sack. Mum set Velcro and her babies up in a nursery. Mum is sad after several days, none of the kits survived. Mum removed Momma from her nursery; she is dancing and dooking wanting mum to play. Mum says Velcro just wanted to be a ferret NOT a momma. Mum says we don’t know how long Velcro was out and about without food and good care so the babies probably did not get the nutrition they needed to thrive.

Possum Here: One Sunday Miss Kristie and some new people came to visit to play with us. The new people held me a long long time, I was a good girl and let them love on me. They wanted to adopt some of us. A call came in while they were here, wanting mum to take 2 more kids so they talked to the people and decided they would take them instead. 2 more fur kids saved.

Suzie Q here:  No way, that had to be the “Possum imposter” that they held; you don’t know how to be good, you do not stop moving. Oh oh guess what mum saw when she was driving her big yellow thingy.

Mum saw a big, big black bear run across the road in front of her bus, far away from the bus so mum did not hurt him. Mum was so excited when she got home.

Possum Here:  Now for the Yard sale weekend. Friday Sue K. brought lots of veggies for mum. She worked in the barn cleaned up poopy papers, while mum went to drive her big yellow thingy. Miss Kristie, Miss Cathy D came in after work on Friday to help set up. Mum had made Chicken Noodle soup so everyone ate dinner before we went back out to get more done. Saturday Mr. Tom brought Pop Corn home from the hospital, brought stuff for the sale, and got mums lawn tractor running again. Mum wanted to use it to get stuff up to the barn but the battery was dead. Mr. Tom got it all fixed up. Miss Kristie, Miss Nicky T, Miss Cathy R, Miss Erin, Mr. Jeff, and Miss Donna D all showed up to help with the yard sale.  Miss Donna helped mum get caught up in the shelter, Miss Kristie got mums computer all finished up with all the stuff off the dead computer.  Mum made veggie soup for everyone with the veggies Miss Sue K brought her. It was yummmmy. Mum met Miss Nicky’s mom and dad they like ferrets so they came in to play with us. Beanie had the most fun with them.  On Sunday Miss Stephanie and Miss Donna D came to do the yard sale. Mum made chili with the remainder of the veggies Miss Sue gave us on Friday. Okay that is it for the news this month. Hey Suzie you did not give me a hard time this month.
